About the role:
The Client Outreach & Enrollment Specialist serves as the first point of contact for potential clients and plays a vital role in connecting individuals to Compass’s programs. This role is responsible for executing outreach strategies, coordinating orientations, fielding inquiries, and ensuring a supportive and dignified enrollment experience. The Specialist works closely with the Manager of Client Outreach & Enrollment to deliver on annual enrollment targets and maintain strong community relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Onboarding

Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals interested in Compass programs.

Facilitate orientations (virtual or in-person) and outreach events to educate prospective clients.

Field inquiries and screen for program eligibility; respond to all outreach in a timely, respectful manner.

Lead client voice efforts through proactive outreach, including “cold calling” enrolled clients to gather feedback on satisfaction, evolving needs, and program experiences. Synthesize findings and report back to I2 to inform continuous improvement and strategy refinement.

Ensure all communication is culturally competent, strengths-based, and aligned with Compass’s values.
Outreach & Marketing Support

Support implementation of regional and national outreach campaigns with guidance from the Manager and Marketing Team.

Coordinate logistics for outreach events, orientations, and tabling activities.

Travel to and execute outreach events coordinated with the Public Housing Authority partner.

Represent Compass with professionalism and respect at all outreach events and interactions.

Track outreach impact and report participation metrics.
Data Entry & Recordkeeping

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interest and intake documentation in Salesforce.

Monitor and update enrollment pipelines and referral data as directed.

Follow confidentiality and data security protocols rigorously.
Qualifications:
-
1–2 years of experience in outreach, recruitment, client services, or program intake.

Cultural humility and ability to engage respectfully across backgrounds.

Cultural sensitivity, empathy, inclusive communication, alignment with organizational values.

Outgoing, warm, and professional interpersonal style.

Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Must be willing to travel regionally and work occasional evenings/weekends.

Experience in housing, workforce development, financial education, or public benefits sectors.

Multilingual ability preferred (Spanish, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, etc.).

The salary range for this role is $47,170-$54,000, commensurate with experience. We’ll promote your professional growth and development by providing access to a competitive salary and benefits package and additional employee benefits that include but are not limited to:
